03How Invexor Alpha works

What is an investment policy statement in Invexor Alpha?

It is your written rulebook for a goal: what you are investing for, over how long, the largest fall you can accept, your cash and income needs, and what is off-limits, such as sectors or instrument types. You set it in Plan. Portfolios Invexor Alpha builds are tested against it, holdings you import are reviewed against it, and only you can loosen it.

How does Invexor Alpha test a portfolio against my policy?

When Invexor Alpha builds a portfolio, code checks it against the asset-class ranges and exclusions that follow from your policy, and against a cap on any one position. A 1,000-path simulation measures how often it would fall further than the largest fall you set; if more than a quarter of the paths do, it is re-optimised for lower volatility. A separate reviewing agent then audits the whole run. The portfolio is marked approved only if it passes the checks, the simulation and the audit. When Invexor Alpha reviews holdings you already have, code compares their asset-class mix with your policy’s ranges and reports each gap as a finding.

Where do the weights and figures in a portfolio come from?

When Invexor Alpha builds a portfolio, the weights come from a numerical optimiser, and the risk and simulation figures are computed by code on one pinned cut of market data. Language models read the evidence, write the explanation and shape two optimiser inputs: the risk agent can tighten the cap on any one position, which never goes above 40%, and a WATCH or BREACH verdict from it switches the optimiser to minimum volatility. If a model’s weights differ from the optimiser’s, the optimiser’s weights stand and the difference is recorded. A return, drawdown or Sharpe figure in the explanation that does not match the computed one fails the checks.

Does Invexor Alpha connect to Zerodha?

Yes, read-only. Invexor Alpha can read holdings, mutual fund holdings and prices from a Zerodha account through Zerodha’s Kite Connect API, and that connection has no way to place, change or cancel an order. Like the rest of Invexor Alpha, it is not yet open to the public. The Zerodha name on invexor.ai signals import compatibility, not a partnership or endorsement.
